    Hi John,

That’s one of the several ways to have a prog to startup automaticly. The Coop & Rahnmans links are in the correct startupfolder, from the restart I do sometimes (=warm boot) they both startup fine, but from a “cold boot” (= power down by Virmach ?) for some reason they dont startup, so this was a one time thingy….

I hope Virmach is NOT at it again, but the servers are down and the remote console cannot be reached because 107.172.96.216 is dead….

    @John
Conversions, migrations, updates, etc, this is not the way to run a server hosting company : a big shame on Virmach.
I fully understand you are pissed off with this, been there myself, done the admin on process critical servers. The servers (Novell) did run in a SFC (single fault condition), later they were replaced by Windows servers (Failover Cluster). If one went down/broken the shadow server took over. Not that difficult, but costwise hardly implemented.

    Hi John,
I am sure you already checked this out yourself, but it looks like the server is not exepting incoming traffic.
All entries in the hosts file can be traced to 192.210.241.54, but the server error is “ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED”, so its up with the same IP, but maybe they closed all ports so 6080 cant be reached….

That is one of the anoying things of GRAW2. It happens so now and then, also on the coop server. Nobody know why but it looks like it has to do with the order of the maps in the rotation setup. I’ll change the rotation order and restart the server. Hope it helps….

P.S : A bit late in replying, but i had an eye operation and staring at a monitor was’nt fun.

I am afraid that with only 2-3 paying players its no longer possible to keep the servers up. I stopped paying for this year (100 ASD in 2018) because the old donation plugin already showed that hardly nobody was willing to share the costs. The number of posts here, also indicates a lack of interrest.
The well meant “revive project” by http://www.ghostrecon.org (site is gone) stopped i.m.o. for the same reasons.
[PCR] also has stopped running its Coop/TDM servers.
This all could not come as a surprise for you.

This years the number active players (GRAW2+GRAW2 Rahnmans) has fallen to a record low, so it looks like 02 Sept 2019 is the end of the (good) ride.

Thank for setting up the game+login servers, this website and the efforts to keep GRAW2 alive….

So how do I interpret the donation page ?
191 days left is appr. 6+ month (always wondered where that money came from)
Closing the server in 09/02/2019 (02 Sept 2019 i take) is 71 days

Thats because you are not in “admin” mode.
If you are a little handy with windows, do the following :
    1) Rightclick you desktop and make a new text file.
    2) copy and paste this into that file :

    124.148.136.196 greconawf2.ms2.gamespy.com
    124.148.136.196 greconawf2.master.gamespy.com
    124.148.136.196 greconawf2.available.gamespy.com
    124.148.136.196 key.gamespy.com
    124.148.136.196 natneg1.gamespy.com
    124.148.136.196 natneg2.gamespy.com
    124.148.136.196 natneg3.gamespy.com
    124.148.136.196 motd.gamespy.com
    124.148.136.196 gamestats.gamespy.com
    124.148.136.196 gpcm.gamespy.com
    124.148.136.196 gpsp.gamespy.com

    3) save the text file
    4) rename the file to “hosts” (remove the .txt extension)
    5) copy the file to : c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc
    6) Say “yes” to overwrite the original file as administrator

    Edit : See also – https://gamerecon.net/support/topic/connect-graw2-without-installing-the-launcher/

    Good luck
