Since this afternoon the gameserver seems to have totally crashed, remote access is also not possible. John H. has been notified, so he can file a troubleticket at Virmach.

Update: Servers are up and running again :))

OK, no reaction, so here is mine.

    – Last couple of months there were appr. 3 paying members and 7 non-paying members on the Coop and Rahnmans Mod servers.
    – As people move to other interrests, we all get older (I cant play as well as I used to – wrist problems), less fun in playing the same maps all the time, maintainability of the database server, etc.

Taking this into account, I agree that its time to say goodbye to the GRAW2 era, there is no basis anymore for continuing the servers.

“….I’m happy to email more details….” Please do.

I not a great calculator, but I dont really follow your way of calculating.
    The total cost (goal) for 2020 is $ 220, untill now donated $140 + your invisible $65 = $205, which makes 93%.
12 month x 93% = 11.16 month, so that makes it november for me, unless your calculation has august 2019 as a startingpoint. If so the donatepage is not giving the correct information stating that the total cost for 2020 is $220.

    Hi Ray,
Just played the Valley map (Annibale) with Shorty, just one crash for me (does happen in GRAW2), Shorty none.
In the standard Coop rotation this does’nt happen that often the way you describe. I will change the rotation order, that helps some times. If the problem still exists please drop a post and I will remove it drom the Rahnmans rotation.

OK, I’ll start working on it this week.

EDIT : Done ! Most work was renaming the rotation scripts, LoL. Rahnmans mod server now run the same maps as the Coop server (in reverse order)

    Hi Ray,

I’ll be happy to make a different rotation, the problem is that there are no “new” maps. The last time a “new” map was published was a couple of years ago. Beware that all the available maps have been looked at already and not every map rotation works well (some maps don’t like each other in a rotation).
If you & others have any suggestions, please let me know here and I will look at them.

    Edit :
I think the best way is to run the same rotations as on the Coop server. This will practically cover all the maps not in the Rahnmans mod rotation. Needs some harddisk space tweaking, but I think there is just enough room for that. Let me know if you guys are OK with that.

Edit : After some hard work from John H. its up again – PLAY !!!

    Hi John,

That’s one of the several ways to have a prog to startup automaticly. The Coop & Rahnmans links are in the correct startupfolder, from the restart I do sometimes (=warm boot) they both startup fine, but from a “cold boot” (= power down by Virmach ?) for some reason they dont startup, so this was a one time thingy….

I hope Virmach is NOT at it again, but the servers are down and the remote console cannot be reached because 107.172.96.216 is dead….

    @John
Conversions, migrations, updates, etc, this is not the way to run a server hosting company : a big shame on Virmach.
I fully understand you are pissed off with this, been there myself, done the admin on process critical servers. The servers (Novell) did run in a SFC (single fault condition), later they were replaced by Windows servers (Failover Cluster). If one went down/broken the shadow server took over. Not that difficult, but costwise hardly implemented.
