Hi all,
Some maintenance and a reboot of all our servers is now underway and it’s overdue, since the master server went offline today I thought I’d stop playing and sort it out now. I will post the results when completed.

didn’t get time to start in the ts server, maybe tomorrow

Hi John,
A while back I spoke to you about Ubisoft’s Silent Hunter 4. What do you need to start a server for that?
Hi Ray,
and thanks for the interest in adding new games to our network. First up, I would need a full copy if Silent Hunter 4 .iso file and key to install it, including any dedicated server files, preferably the retail DVD vertion
I’d add the game to the database, then find all the domains in the games executable file and add them all the my host file referring the domains to the master server IP, then attempt to create a user from within the game interface, if that works the next stage is attempt to join a server hosted somewhere out on the net, so I would need someone to host a server. If it works I just add the domains to a new “Silent Hunter 4” function in the launcher, for example – CLICK HERE to connect “Silent Hunter 4” to the gamerecon network as an option button to be added to the launcher.
Theres is a little more to it and it would help greatly if more developers could get involved
Hi all,
our game servers are down and I have opened a ticket (Ticket Created #885495) over at their website, I’ll update this thread when I get an answer.
Game server is working now, thanks Nam!
The network seems to of had an issue within the virtual switch but no explanation as yet so can’t be sure it wasn’t at our end.

27 ptsI am sure it wasn’t at our end. Pitbull reported that the gameplay/connection slowly died (ping over 1100 !)
I checked if the servers were down, but they were up & running. After that remote session all connectivity went dead.
Everything is back to normal now……….
Yep, they came back with…
“There was an issue with VPS network which we configured correctly from our end. There is no issue with OS or anything else.”
Nothing to do with the OS so we’re all good
Hi all,
just letting everyone know that I just paid the bill for the next three months…

27 ptsDoes this include the database VM ?
Hi Nam,
Good to hear from you.
…It’s not clear, an automated email warning of downtime resulting from a hardware fault was sent to me from our provider. It was scheduled for over 24 hours ago as of posting this but I haven’t seen any issues as yet, you?
